Then look no further Seren Ffestiniog are looking for Male & female Support Workers to join our friendly team.
We pride ourselves on giving the best possible care and life experiences for our individuals. This includes going on various trips, visiting cafes, as well as activities such as arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening and much more. While this role can be challenging at times, and there is a lot to learn, we offer a robust induction programme that will well equip you to provide exceptional care.
Previous experience working in the Care industry is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
Your new job:
Support workers treat everyone equally and with the dignity and respect they deserve. You'll play a vital part in providing support that improves the ability to manage daily tasks and enable people to experience independent living and decision making.
Your role is to:
• To ensure that our individuals are cared for throughout the day in accordance with the highest professional standards, policies and procedures of the company.
• Have the ability to work under pressure in challenging circumstances.
• Support our individuals in achieving their goals and ambitions.
• To fully engage with our individuals and take part in activities and leisure pursuits, including physical activities such as sports.
• Make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
• Prompting and/or supporting personal care.
• Maintain accurate records of the individual's progress and report any concerns to Team Leader.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals.
You may experience challenging situations, but you will be given exceptional training and have an experienced team to assist and support you.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
