Peripatetic support worker

We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Peripatetic Support Worker to join our friendly Team here at Seren.

This role will be to cover any open shifts, annual leave, and long-term sickness for our departments. Each provision has established teams where you will be welcomed and supported to do the best job you can. Each provision is unique and the skills you will have or learn will be varied.

Whilst covering within the Care Department you be required to undertake all care work with the sensitivity required to provide services in a way, which will preserve the dignity, privacy, choice, independence, fulfilment and rights of the individuals we support.

Whilst covering in the Furniture Centre you’ll spend time on your feet assisting customers, making recommendations, helping, advising, directing and dealing with enquiries, as well as selling goods and handling payments. You might also have specific tasks, such as assisting with moving and handling, making sure that the goods are attractively displayed and or assembled.

Whilst covering in Gerddi Stiniog, your time could be spent maintaining the grounds of both Gerddi Stiniog and Gwesty Seren, or assisting with carrying out production work, which will vary depending on time of year.

Previous experience working in the Care industry is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
